Creamy Zucchini Soup

1-1/4 c Vegetable broth
100 gms Zucchini, thinly sliced
1/2 t Minced onion
1T Milk
1/4 t Oregano
To taste Salt
To taste Pepper
In a small sauce pan on medium heat, pour 1/4c vegetable broth, onion, zucchini.
and oregano. Cover and cook for 10 minutes. Add remaining broth and milk. Cover and cook for 10 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Put in blender until smooth and enjoy!

The Little Yellow Wonder Fruit

We are dedicating this blog to the little yellow wonder fruit that is allowed everyday on the hCG diet. However, many people look past this little fruit and do not use it while on the diet. We LOVE this little wonder fruit because of ALL the benefits!
Do you know that in Dr. Simeons Protocol he states you can use the juice of a lemon (we recommend organic if possible) EVERY day? This does not count as one of your 2 fruits for the day this is just a bonus! :)
Here is how we use lemons while on the diet:
- Use the juice of the lemon when cooking your chicken. This is a great way to cook your chicken since you can't use oil. It makes for a great flavor as well!
- Squeeze the juice of the lemon over your salad.
- Use the juice of the lemon to add to your homemade approved salad dressings.
- Squeeze the juice over an apple and sprinkle with cinnamon and a few drops of plain Stevia and bake.
- Drink it as lemonade. Squeeze the juice in a tall glass fill the glass full of water and add a few drops of plain Stevia and voila....you have a tasty beverage with one of your meals.
Did You Know These Benefits of Lemons:
- Effective with digestion problems when mixed with hot water, including nausea, heartburn, and constipation. Lemons have been known to relieve hiccups.
- Lemon is a diuretic. So it is great for the hCG diet to help keep water retention down and helps to flush out all the bad bacteria and toxins.
- Lemon juice, when taken regularly in the morning, acts as a tonic to the liver and stimulates it to produce bile which helps digest the day's food.
